The third issue focuses on the RSS being one of the main sponsors for Rail Media’s ‘Rail Safety Summit 2017’ conference in London. With ‘Rail’ and ‘Safety’ being in our name, the Rail Safety Summit was an obvious choice for us to be linked with. We were particularly thrilled with the new and exciting concepts regarding safety being discussed by some of the top players in the industry and it gave us a platform to showcase our safety campaign that was featured in the last issue, #RailLivesMatter. Our training company, Auctus Training Solutions Ltd (ATS) also partnered with Colas Rail have created and launched the first apprenticeship scheme of its kind under the new Trailblazer Apprenticeship standard, with 16 new apprentices commencing their Level 3 Rail Technician program. David McDonough, ATS Training Manager worked closely with Colas Rail to craft a thorough and in-depth apprenticeship scheme that would help the apprentices thrive within Colas Rail and the rail industry.
The second issue focuses on our attendance to the highly anticipated Rail Live exhibition show, held annually in Long Marston, Stratford. We were there for a second year in a row at a bigger and better stand, where we showcased a staggering 5 varieties of safety systems, that range from our Treadle Based Systems to our new Magnetic Points Run-Through Boards. We also launched another new feature, the #RSSTV, a place where we can display our latest and greatest features as well as case studies and project breakdowns, and finally a new safety campaign we have created; #RailLivesMatter, that focuses on the ATWS and SATWS equipment and why utilising a Treadle Based System could ultimately end up saving a life.
This first issue focuses on our most recent projects, most notably featuring the Automatic Track Warning System (ATWS) that our progressive customers utilise when a line block is not a viable option. Alongside ATWS, we will introduce our other safety systems utilised throughout various projects also, all of which can transform a project into a safer and more cost effective work environment. For more information about the ATWS system, we are proud to unveil a Rail Safety Standard exclusive, an animation showcasing how the system works, and the benefits it offers.
